Marie Claire’s Women of the Year

If you love fashion, then there’s a good chance that you’ve collected Marie Claire magazines at some point in your life. Being around for more than thirty years, the famous magazine has captured the interest of fashion enthusiasts in Australia, and it has become the go-to magazine for those looking for ideas and inspirations about fashion, style, and everything in between.

One of the highlights of Marie Claire is its special Women of the Year Awards, and this year, the red carpet was graced by some of Australia’s most fashionable A-listers:

Emma McKeon

Australian Olympic swimmer Emma McKeon switched her swimsuit for a stunning all-black ensemble that was completed with her matte black Lady Djoy bag. Of course, her best arm candy is her boyfriend Australian singing sensation Cody Simpson, who also cheered the Olympian on as she competed at the Paris Olympics. Emma McKeon was also recognised as “Icon of the Year” for her incredible success at the Olympics.

Jackie O’ Henderson

She is known for always stealing the spotlight with her fashionable outfits and witty lines in The Kyle and Jackie O Show, so Jackie O’ Henderson is sure to serve up some style at the Women of the Year Awards. Her strapless Sportmax dress was definitely a showstopper, especially since she kept her jewellery to a minimum and her makeup also did not steal the spotlight from that beautiful dress.

Maria Thattil

The former Miss Universe Australia, actress and successful author was definitely a stunner at the awards with her deep red strapless gown, stunning clutch and jewellery to complete the outfit. The beauty queen kept her hair in a bun to make sure that her dress is the star of the show.

Jesinta Franklin

The Women of the Year Awards night was all about celebrating women empowerment, and there’s no better way to channel “boss babe” than with a power dressing moment. Her black suit dress was simple yet stunning and she kept her jewellery and makeup simple to really highlight the beautiful details of her dress.

Grace Tame

Australian activist Grace Tame traded her shirt and jeans combo with a rocker chic outfit that surely stood out in the event. The stunner wore a beautiful red embellished mini dress paired with leather boots to complete the look. She also kept her hair in a slick bun to reveal her beautiful face.

Laura Byrne

Laura Byrne was hard to miss at the Women of the Year Awards because of her beautiful blue bodycon dress that she paired with simple strappy heels. The radio star added some funky accessories to complete her beautiful outfit.

Of course, this list wouldn’t be complete without Brittney Hockley and her beautiful black floor-length gown and larger than life necklace that will surely catch your attention when she passes by. The Bryrne’s “Life Uncut” podcast host completed her look with some red lips that serve empowered women at its finest.
